This notice explains how information is handled when you read guides or use tools on TheProcreate. The independent guide publication is separate from the Procreate app. This website does not access your Procreate gallery or artwork files.
Page requests and service providers
TheProcreate is hosted on Ghost(Pro). Opening a page sends connection information, such as your IP address, browser details, the requested address and request time, to the hosting and delivery systems. This information supports page delivery, security and troubleshooting.
Ghost's privacy policy describes how it handles data for its own service operations, including retention for the collection purpose, business or legal requirements. Its data-processing terms describe the hosting processor relationship and safeguards for international transfers. Delivery infrastructure can process requests outside your country.
A search-interface library is also loaded from the jsDelivr content delivery network. Your browser connects to that service to request the file, exposing ordinary connection information such as your IP address. This is separate from sending a search query.
Website analytics
We use Ghost's native web analytics to understand page views, referral sources and broad visitor locations, and to decide which guides need attention. Ghost provides the analytics service with Tinybird.
Ghost describes this first-party analytics as cookie-free: it does not use cookies or persistent browser storage to identify visitors across sessions, browsers or devices. Ghost counts unique visitors within 24-hour windows and stores Ghost(Pro) analytics data in EU regions. Traffic reports are available to authorized publication staff through Ghost.
Search and the print calculator
The guide search filters titles and summaries in your browser. Search terms can also appear in a page address as a query parameter. Loading, reloading or sharing that address can send the term to hosting systems as part of the request, and your browser may retain it in its history. Do not enter passwords, private artwork names or other sensitive information into search.
The canvas-to-print calculator processes the numbers you enter in your browser. Its calculation code does not upload those values or artwork files. It does not use cookies or browser storage to remember your entries.
Accounts and submissions
You do not need a reader account to use the guides. Reader registration and comments are disabled. The current public website has no newsletter subscription form, payment form or visitor file-upload form.
Browser choices and external links
You can use your browser's privacy controls to restrict scripts, block requests or clear browsing history and stored site data. The guide text remains available without JavaScript; interactive search filtering and calculator updates need it.
Guides link to product documentation and other websites. Following a link sends a request to the destination, which handles information under its own privacy practices. Review the destination's notice before providing personal information or uploading artwork there.
Changes to this notice
We will revise this notice when the site's data handling changes, including before adding reader forms, accounts, subscriptions or a different analytics service. The date above identifies the latest substantive revision.
